Describe your design

The recycling symbol is well known and it’s beautifully simple: three arrows that form a cycle to represent the transformation of material from one product to another. Reusing is a direct, personal and tangible process. It’s symbol should be about making people aware that everything around you is reusable and that it’s up to your imagination how and where you take things – hence the arrows pointing outwards, 360° around, suggesting an infinite amount of possibilities lying ahead of us all. Though I commend this effort and in theory it makes sense to connect it with the mobius loop, I think making it so closely tied to the mobius loop will create confusion--people will think it's just another variation of the recycling symbol.

It works perfectly in the context of other two symbols from presentation: http://bmd-labs.com/reuse/

This is so so good. So smart just expanding on the existing symbol.

I like this design because it is well drawn and clean and has a concept. I would like to see it flipped so that the center triangle is right side up, like the recycle logo from which it's derived. Good work, though.

@rita.manna111 – I think it's the similarity that makes this brilliant. People already know the 3 R's – recycle is part of that – why would you diverge from a learned icon that people already grasp, and instead go with a totally new symbol that people would need to be taught just to understand. Just my opinion.

Unfortunately I am not too convinced with this one. I think that the general public would find this to be a bit confusing OR too similar to the recycle symbol.

Much more intuitive when seen in context with the other symbols as in your presentation - Reduce-Reuse-Recycle - really like the two different transformations of the classic Mobius strip recycle icon. http://bmd-labs.com/reuse/

Isn't this just a reverse of the recycle symbol?
