The purpose of this design is to encourage people to think twice before they trash. Many items end up in our landfill before they need to. Even recycling is an expenditure of resources, and some materials are not easily recycled. In an effort to lead more sustainable lifestyles creatively resourceful people find second uses for products that consume manpower and energy to make, or recycle. The universally recognized Recycle symbol uses 3 arrows, to represent a process which is arguably intended to close the loop of waste by re-purposing materials endlessly. I “reused” just one of its arrows to help communicate the more straightforward concept of Reuse.
